The face your home shows the street

Front elevation treatments on a G+1 home add roughly ₹50–300 per sq ft of facade over your package baseline — about ₹35,000 to ₹2 lakh on a typical 600–700 sq ft front (indicative 2026). The facade is a small slice of the build, but it carries the whole first impression, and every rupee of it is decided by choices you must lock in before the lintel band is cast. Here are the styles Hyderabad G+1 homes actually use, what each adds per square foot, and the one deadline that matters.

First, size the canvas. On a 150 sq yd plot with a 30 ft frontage, a G+1 front facade runs roughly 30 ft wide by 21–22 ft high — about 600–700 sq ft. That is well under a third of the ~2,300 sq ft built-up area of a 150 sq yd G+1 build, which is why a dramatic elevation costs less than most owners fear: you are treating the front plane, not the whole house.

Which elevation styles work on G+1 homes in Hyderabad?

Five treatments cover almost everything you see on Hyderabad streets today — from the flat-panel minimalism common in Kokapet and Kondapur to the texture-and-groove fronts you will find in every colony. Costs below are what the treatment adds over the exterior finish already included in your package, applied to the treated band only.

StyleIndicative add*Maintenance
Contemporary flat-panel (clean render, minimal grooves)₹50–90 /sq ftRepaint cycle ~5–7 years; the easiest look to refresh
Texture + groove work₹80–150 /sq ftTexture hides hairline cracks; similar repaint cycle
Stone / tile cladding accents₹150–300 /sq ft of cladded bandOccasional re-pointing; fixing method decides lifespan
Wood-look louvres (WPC / HPL)₹120–250 /sq ft of treated bandWipe-down cleaning; slats fade slowly in sun, replaceable
Glass railing balconies₹180–300 /sq ft equivalent (often quoted per running ft)Glass cleaning; check gaskets and studs yearly

What actually decides the cost of an elevation?

Remember that the facade competes with the inside of the house for the same budget — many owners trim exterior cladding to fund the false ceiling and kitchen. Get your package baseline from the 60-second estimator first, then add an elevation allowance from the table above so the trade-off is a decision, not a surprise.

How does Vastu shape a front elevation?

Vastu is settled mostly in the floor plan — the main-door zone, room placement, slopes — and the elevation's job is to frame those decisions, not fight them. In the conventions our designs follow (all Indek layouts are 100% Vastu-compliant), heavier, taller solid elements sit more comfortably to the south and west, while the north and east faces carry more openness and light. The main door position comes from the Vastu grid; the elevation then makes it the centrepiece.

Hyderabad's sun agrees with much of this. West-facing facades take hard afternoon heat, so louvres, deep chajjas and textured finishes earn their keep there, while east-facing fronts can afford larger glass. Vastu schools do differ on details — we walk you through the placements on the 3D model, and our Vastu guide covers the plan-level rules in depth.

Why must the elevation freeze before lintel stage?

Because from lintel stage onward, your elevation is cast in reinforced concrete. Window sizes and positions, chajja projections, balcony slab outlines, vertical fins and the lintel band itself all go into RCC at lintel and slab stage. Change your mind after that and the "small design tweak" becomes cutting finished concrete — patches, crack risk, and rework that costs multiples of the original item.

  1. The elevation is finalised on the 3D design and attached to your agreement.
  2. Your site engineer marks every opening and projection before the lintel pour, with photos in the project WhatsApp group.
  3. Elevation add-ons are billed at the stage they are executed — stage-verified, never as a lump advance.

What elevation work does each package include?

The four Indek packages share the same M20 RCC structure and 10-year structural warranty; on the facade, the tiers differ in paint grade, texture work and lighting. Cladding, louvres and glass railings are add-ons in every tier, priced on the treated area.

Frequently asked

How much does a front elevation cost for a G+1 house in Hyderabad?

Elevation treatments add roughly ₹50–300 per sq ft of facade over the package baseline, which works out to about ₹35,000–₹2 lakh on a typical 600–700 sq ft G+1 front (indicative 2026). The low end is clean paint-and-groove work; the high end is stone cladding, louvres and glass railings across most of the facade.

Is 3D elevation design included in construction packages?

In our packages, 3D elevation design is included from Premium (₹2,150/sq ft) upward as part of the full design package; the Standard package (₹1,950/sq ft) covers working drawings with exterior emulsion paint. Whichever tier you pick, the elevation is frozen on the 3D model before lintel stage.

Which front elevation is best for a west-facing house in Hyderabad?

For a west-facing house, shading elements work best — wood-look louvres, deep chajjas and textured finishes survive hard afternoon sun better than large glass areas or flat dark paint. Keep the bigger openings for the north and east faces, where the light is gentler.

Can I change my elevation design after construction starts?

Yes — freely before the lintel band is cast; after that, most elevation changes mean cutting finished RCC, which invites cracks and costs far more than the change is worth. Window openings, chajja projections and balcony outlines are fixed in concrete at lintel and slab stage, so we freeze the elevation on the 3D model first.

Does stone cladding on an elevation fall off over time?

Properly fixed stone cladding — mechanical clamps for heavy stone, polymer adhesive over prepared plaster for lighter tiles — stays put for decades. Failures almost always trace back to heavy stone stuck with cement slurry alone, so ask how the cladding will be fixed, not just what it costs.
